Dr. Jackie Black and Brunswick martial arts expert Jim Bouchard come from very different worlds. However, they discovered that the core values in Jim’s THINK Like a BLACK BELT philosophy were exactly the values Dr. Jackie teaches to build happy and successful relationships.

The result is their new book: LOVE Like a BLACK BELT!

Jim Bouchard is across the country as a speaker, frequent guest on radio and TV programs including BBC Worldview, FOX News Live and FOX Across America and as the author of THINK Like a BLACK BELT.

Dr. Jackie Black is a frequent guest expert on radio stations throughout the world and is regularly cited in major magazines in the U.S. and abroad including Cosmopolitan and MAXIM. She is a popular Internet syndicated columnist, radio personality, relationship blogger and educator.

Together they’re the co-authors of LOVE Like a BLACK BELT, scheduled for official release on Valentine’s Day.

Bouchard is a guy from the trenches. Through martial arts, he transformed himself from a two-time college dropout and drug abuser to a Black Belt, successful entrepreneur, speaker and author.

Dr. Jackie had a successful career as a business executive who followed her passion to help people develop and sustain happy and successful relationships. Her practice now extends around the world.

Despite their vast differences in life experiences and backgrounds, they soon found that the core values Bouchard teaches in his THINK Like a BLACK BELT philosophy resonated in perfect harmony with Dr. Jackie’s “Cracking the Code” series which includes the books Meeting Your Match and Couples and Money.

“The core values of discipline, respect and perseverance,” said Bouchard, “work in relationships just as well as they do in business or in the dojo. That was that common ground that made the book possible.

Unlike many co-authored books in which the authors work to blend their voices, these authors found that writing in a stream of give-and-take commentary welcomes the readers into the dialogue they’ve been sharing for the past several years.

Critics have responded enthusiastically. Steve Crooper, Editor-in-Chief of Hitched Media Inc. says, “In many instances, LOVE Like a BLACK BELT identifies a potential threat to your relationship followed by sage advice from the co-authors who expertly dispatch the dangerous relationship bumps with a step-by-step dissection of the issue that disarms the hazard and empowers the reader.”

Noted relationship expert and bestselling author Dr. Jed Diamond says, “There’s no fluff here, just real tools for men and women who are ready to have a relationship that really works, now and forever.”

A book launch, signing and and wine tasting reception takes place on Wednesday, February 13th at the Brunswick Inn Bed and Breakfast on Park Row in Brunswick, Maine from 5:00 to 7:30 featuring a special live video appearance with Dr. Jackie from California.

The book launch and reception is free and open to the public. A portion of all book sales at this event will benefit the American Heart Association. Reservations are required and can be made through EventBee or by calling Alex Armstrong at 207-751-4317.

Jim & Dr. Jackie are available for media appearances via phone, Skype and live in studio. Call Alex Armstrong at 800-786-8502 for scheduling.
