I sit on the board of the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber. Last year, we enrolled 3 students in an incredible program: Young Entrepreneurs Academy.
All 3 of our first year graduates have launched successful businesses! REAL businesses!
- One young man created custom t-shirt business and just received his first volume order for over $3,000
- Another launched a beef jerky business and is in the process of locating local markets and campgrounds to distribute his products
- The young lady in the group will sell her frozen yogurt products at local Farmer’s Markets

Next year, our goal is to enroll and graduate 20 young entrepreneurs…the next generation of entrepreneurs and the future of Maine and America.

Our inaugural Hacker’s Ball Golf Tournament funds the YEA program. Additional proceeds will support scholarships for area college bound high school students.
